Weirdwood Manor Makes Apple’s Annual ‘Best Of App Store 2015’ List
Weirdwood Manor has been named a runner-up in Apple’s annual ‘Best of App Store 2015’ list – a collection of the best apps and games released on the App Store over the past 12 months. The announcement was made this morning by Apple.
Developed by All Play, No Work, Weirdwood Manor is is an interactive book series for children ages 6 – 12. It tells the story of Oliver, Celia and Eugene, three children who posses unique talents they don’t yet understand. When the trio is invited to Weirdwood Manor by the reclusive author and inventor, Arthur Weirdwood, they unknowingly stumble into an adventure that teaches them to celebrate their uniquenesses and embrace their imaginations.
A cross between a beautifully illustrated picture book, stunning animated movie, and a challenging series of games and puzzles, Weirdwood Manor is develop exclusive for the iPad. Each book in the six book series features between 60 to 90 minutes of story and game time.
An App Store Editors’ Choice, Weirdwood Manor has been both a ‘Featured’ and ‘Best New’ App.
The interactive book series recently won a 2015 Digi Award for ‘Best in Mobile Entertainment’ and has been nominated for both a Cybils Award and a Kidscreen Award. Both of those prizes will be announced in February 2016.
